16th Indo-US Economic Summit – “Indo-US Economic Partnership: Prospects & Challenges in the Approach” was held on 24th & 25th September 2020.
Sameer Dhanrajani was part of the speakers panel of Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI was one of the 9 major topics held to discuss the bilateral decadal economic prospects and challenges.
The Summit assumed importance against the backdrop of the changing geopolitical dynamics, wherein important US based companies have vacated or in the process of vacating their operations from China. Some of the US corporations have relocated to India and a few more are actively considering doing so. Also, this is the first organized effort of its kind to bring the India-US partnership into sharp focus when the world is inching towards recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic, which has disrupted global supply and demand chains. Since a new decade will dawn on us in a few months’ time. Accordingly, after considerable consultations and deliberations, nine sessions were held to discuss the bilateral decadal economic prospects and challenges:

- Banking, Financial Services and Insurance
- Infrastructure and Logistics
